Preregistration

📢 All lab studies will be preregistered on the Open Science Framework.

Registered reports

❤️ When feasible, we will pursue registered reports for our studies. I LOVE the idea of registered reports, but clinical psychology journals have been slow to implement the process. Right now, this is an aspirational goal that I would like to become normalized for our lab.

Preprints

💸 All manuscripts will be submitted to a preprint service (PsyArXiv or Open Science Framework) before submission to a journal. This allows for our work to be seen and evaluated as soon as it is done. It also creates a version of the work that is freely accessible to all, even if they don’t have access to expensive journals.

Reproducibility

Code/syntax sharing

💽 Whether you use SPSS, R, Jamovi, or any other statistical software, you are required to save your code or syntax in a way that is reproducible. This means that if someone was given your data, they would be able to follow your instructions and end up with the same results as you.

Open data

🧬 Whenever possible, de-identified data from lab studies will be made publicly available for others to reproduce our results.
